Terms of Use
Effective August 20, 2026
These terms cover your use of the Tide app and this website. They're deliberately short, because Tide is a small, local-first app with no account system behind it.
01Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Tide ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
02License
StrideIT grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Tide on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial habit tracking. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app outside of the official App Store or Google Play listing.
03Your data
Tide stores everything you enter locally on your device — see the Privacy Policy for the details. That means:
- We have no copy of your habits, logs, or settings and cannot restore them for you.
- Uninstalling the app, resetting your device, or using "Erase local data" permanently deletes your data. There is no cloud backup to fall back on.
- You're responsible for backing up your device (e.g. through your OS's own backup system) if you want to preserve your history.
04Acceptable use
Use Tide lawfully and don't attempt to disrupt, decompile, or exploit the app or this website.
05No warranty
Tide is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Tide is a habit-tracking tool, not medical, health, or professional advice — decisions about your health or habits are yours to make.
06Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StrideIT is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including loss of locally stored data.
07Changes
We may update the app or these terms over time. Material changes to these terms will update the effective date above. Continuing to use Tide after a change means you accept the revised terms.
08Termination
You may stop using Tide at any time by deleting the app. We may discontinue the app or this website at our discretion; because your data lives on your device, discontinuation doesn't affect data you've already stored locally until you remove the app yourself.
09Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
