Privacy Policy
Effective August 20, 2026
The short version: Tide doesn't have a server, an account system, or an analytics SDK. Everything you enter is stored only on your device. We don't collect it, so we can't share it, sell it, or lose it in a breach.
01Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Tide mobile app (iOS and Android), published by StrideIT ("we", "us"), and to this website. If you have questions, contact ashishkaushik@strideit.in.
02Information we collect
None, from our servers — because there are none. Tide has no backend, no user accounts, and no login. The app does not transmit analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or usage data to us or to any third party.
Everything you do in the app — the habits you create, the times you log, your reminder
schedule, and your preferences — is written to your device's local storage only
(AsyncStorage, sandboxed to the app). It never leaves your phone.
03Notifications
Reminders in the Alerts tab are scheduled directly with your device's operating system. Tide does not use a push-notification service and never sends your reminder schedule anywhere. If you grant notification permission, that permission is requested and recorded by iOS/Android itself — Tide simply asks for it.
04Permissions the app may request
- Notifications — to schedule the reminders you set. You can decline this and still use the rest of the app.
Tide does not request access to your contacts, location, photos, microphone, camera, or any other device data.
05Data sharing
We don't share data with third parties, because we never receive any. Tide has no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK bundled into the app.
06Data retention & deletion
Your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can erase it at any time from You → Erase local data, or by deleting the app, which removes its local storage along with it. We have no copy to delete on our end, because we never had one.
07Children's privacy
Tide is not directed at children under 13, and because the app collects no personal information from anyone, none is knowingly collected from children either.
08Changes to this policy
If Tide ever adds a feature that changes what's described here (for example, an optional cloud backup), we'll update this page and change the effective date above before that feature ships, so this policy always reflects what the current version of the app actually does.
